A modern spin on the classic "Legend of Sleepy Hollow," "Tarrytown" is a glimpse into the life of Ichabod Crane, a high-school music teacher that has recently uprooted his life in NYC and relocated to the serene wilderness further up north. Generic's production was one of the first staged productions of this show, and the very first to feature a full orchestra. As with many of the shows at Generic, the intimate size of the space made for an interesting and challenging environment for vocal reinforcement. The majority of this design is comprised of diegetic sound effects, but atmospheric cues were added to enhance audience immersion into the world of the play.
